Helping Children Understand a Balanced Meal
KT Foundation conducted a health and nutrition awareness session at Government Primary School, Anlajodi. The session introduced students to the idea of dietary diversity and helped them understand why eating different kinds of food matters for their everyday wellbeing.
Through interactive discussion, students explored essential food groups and what a balanced meal can look like. The conversation used affordable, locally sourced ingredients to make nutrition feel relevant to the foods they may already know. It also connected varied meals with the energy children need for learning, play and growth.
The session gave students a simple way to think about their daily food choices and share what they learned beyond the classroom. By making the discussion practical and accessible, KT Foundation aimed to help children recognise that nutritious eating can begin with familiar ingredients.
